Who We Are
Flex ("we", "our", "us") is a freelancing automation service operated from the Arab Republic of Egypt. Contact: support@flexagent.app
Flex is an AI-powered desktop agent that automates job searching and proposal submission on freelancing platforms (currently Mostaql; Upwork and others in future phases). Flex does not control your general operating system, access your personal files, capture your screen persistently, or log your keystrokes.
1. Data We Collect
1.1 Account Information
Your name and email address, collected at registration. Used solely for authentication, account management, and service communications.
1.2 Freelancer Profile
During onboarding, you provide information that enables the agent to act on your behalf. This includes:
- Professional skills and areas of expertise
- Job preferences, budget ranges, and categories of interest
- Writing tone samples and communication style indicators
- Blacklisted job types, client criteria, or other exclusion rules
- Negotiation preferences and constraints
This profile is stored encrypted in our database and is used exclusively to power the agent's job-matching and proposal-writing functions. It is never sold, shared with third parties for any marketing purpose, or used to train AI models.
1.3 Session Logs & Action Records
Every action the agent takes during a session is logged to our database. This includes:
- Jobs scanned (title, URL, budget, proposal count, post time)
- Decisions made per job (apply / skip / review) and the reasoning
- Full text of every proposal written and submitted
- Session metadata (platform, start/end time, credits consumed, status)
- Mid-session chat conversations between you and the agent
These logs exist for transparency, debugging, account history, and future service improvements. You can review your full history from your dashboard at any time.
1.4 Platform Session Tokens
When you authenticate on a freelancing platform (Mostaql, Upwork, etc.), Flex captures and stores the resulting session cookie or token locally on your device only. This data never leaves your machine and is never transmitted to our servers. You log in yourself — Flex never asks for or stores your username or password.
1.5 Credits & Usage Data
We track credit consumption per session to enforce subscription limits and manage AI API costs.
1.6 Technical & Telemetry Data
We collect basic error logs, crash reports, and performance data to maintain service stability. This data does not include personal content.
2. What We Do NOT Collect
- Your platform passwords or login credentials
- Screenshots or recordings of your screen
- General keyboard or mouse input outside the automated browser session
- Any files from your file system
- Any data from applications other than the Flex agent itself

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling for third parties, or any purpose not listed above.
4. Third-Party AI Providers
To power the agent's intelligence, prompts and job data are transmitted securely to our AI model providers via API. These currently include Google (Vertex AI / Gemini) and Anthropic (Claude).
- Data sent to AI providers is used only for immediate task execution
- It is not used to train their foundational models
- It is not retained by providers beyond the immediate API call window per their data processing terms
- All transmissions are encrypted in transit (TLS)
Your Freelancer Profile and job context are sent as part of these API calls. We apply Anthropic's Prompt Caching where applicable to minimize data exposure per call and reduce costs.
5. Payment Processing
All payments are processed by our Merchant of Record Lemon Squeezy, which handles your payment card data under PCI-DSS standards. Flex does not store, see, or have access to your credit card information at any point.
6. Data Storage & Security
- All personal data and session logs are stored in our Supabase database with row-level security (RLS) enforced — you can only access your own data
- Data is encrypted at rest and in transit
- Platform session tokens are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers
- We implement industry-standard access controls on all backend infrastructure
In the event of a security breach affecting your personal data, we will notify affected users promptly via email and take all reasonable measures to contain and mitigate the incident.
7. Data Retention

Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently erased within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your data and account
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to certain processing activities
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based

9. Children's Privacy
Flex is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent to register and make purchases. If we become aware that a user is under 13, we will delete their account and associated data promptly.
10. International Users
Flex is operated from the Arab Republic of Egypt. By using Flex, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and processed in countries where our infrastructure and AI providers operate, including the United States. We ensure such transfers are conducted under appropriate legal safeguards.
Users outside Egypt are responsible for compliance with their local applicable privacy laws.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the product, legal requirements, or our practices. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
